Feels like a helmet from a kid's 'My First Safety Set'. The ANSI 'stamp' looks more like a holographic imitation and there is no production date code. I've worn a variety of industrial safety helmets over the years. This would probably suffice for general homeowner work or the weekend warriors, but it would not pass a job site safety check by an OSHA inspector. This kit is being returned in lieu of Oregon's alternative (563474), which does have all the correct markings. As does the TR Industrial model TR88011. One last interesting tidbit...the box is marked "Includes limited lifetime warranty". How do you offer a lifetime warranty on an item that has a shelf life? Perhaps the warranty just pertains to the ear muffs and/or face shield?
