I didn’t like the main character, Thursday, from the very beginning of this book & I still didn’t like her when I got to the last page. It’s a weird story, no doubt about it. The premise sounded really good. A woman legally married to a man who has two other wives. She becomes curious & breaks the rules by looking up his newest wife. From the beginning, Thursday is presented as being madly in love with Seth although, like her name, she only sees him on Thursday. I thought that was silly. He sees Hannah on Monday & Regina on Tuesday. We don’t really know much about any of the characters, they all seem flat & dimensionless. I think the story could’ve been a lot better if it had a tighter storyline. I got so mired down in boring details about ¾ of the way through the book I fell asleep. I didn’t know if Thursday was crazy or being played by Seth. There were inconsistencies, a few red herrings, a lack of character development & no one came across as being anything more than a caricature. It was an unusual storyline & it could’ve been a really good thriller but it needs a lot of work & some characters you’d really want to know.
