I read this since I thoroughly enjoyed Deep Silence, after a bit of an hiatus from Joe Ledger.
Joe is part of a new team, Rogue Team International which is not responsible to the USA government, a private Spec Ops team. The favourite players feature as well as some new ones. A terrifying bioweapon is unleashed in North Korea which causes a murderous rage, families turn on each other, no-one is safe. Video footage released suggests that the USA and South Korea are involved, when it happens again, more countries are implicated. It becomes a political nightmare and threatens any stability between these countries. Joe and Rogue Team have to sort through the layers of deception to get to the heart of the threat.
Initially I was not sure about this novel, if felt like far too many story lines and characters were being introduced. They do of course all meet up but it takes a good fifty percent of the novel before I found it becoming cohesive. From there on I read the remainder of the book in one day.
The ending is not a cliff-hanger (thank goodness), somewhat expected but promises an action packed next installment in this series. I will most definitely read it.
Thanks #Netgalley for the arc of #Rage in exchange for my honest review.
