The first two books rocked: great characters great plot. This one did not. I never understood Penelope or Daley. Could not get them into my mind. Then the huge digression into neo-Nazi racism. I'm talking chapters of this stuff. Yee gads, then there were pages and pages of diary transcripts written by a 12 year old. Why?? None of this progressed the story but certainly helped the page count. I did enjoy the further development Burt Short, who is not. And in the current overkill of the #metoo movement, the pastor's problems did not appear that significant. Just ask Donald or Joe.
