Since I work in a library I always want to encourage children to read. I got this for my four year old cousin for Christmas (along with a Pete the Cat Plush

since I don't want my gift to be JUST books) and, while I haven't given it to her yet, I think its the perfect tool to start her reading. The books are small and have short, simple sentences, one or two sentences per page. Plus the plush will make for a good reading buddy.
