Mounted inside my garage to power a minimum of things if a power outage happens. This would keep my heat system working and can be switched to keep a freezer and refrigerator working depending on what season we have a power outage. It won’t keep an entire house up on a generator during a power outage. It has been tested and it works just fine. It is a manual system so you must be home to have it work. If you want power to switch anytime regardless of where you are (like on vacation), get a Generac or the equivalent. This appears to be a VERY GOOD smaller footprint transfer panel for a generator to back up essential parts of a home power system.
