This is a high quality piece of luggage– strong, sturdy and well-made, retractable handle and wheels and that are smooth and comfortable (no sticking or wobbling). I've been using it for over a year and it will clearly last for many more years. It’s got a roomy main interior compartment, and a fold-out “suiter” compartment that is handy if you travel with suit jackets (there really is no ideal way to travel with suit jackets, but this tri-fold suiter set up is probably the best). If you don’t need it, you can zip out one panel of the suiter attachment and just have an extra interior mesh pocket over the main compartment. There are excellent exterior compartments (but those do make it easy to overstuff the bag beyond the depth of airline sizer boxes). My only complaint is that the carry handle on top is made of hard leather that adds about an inch of height to the bag because it doesn't lay flat. I've brought this bag on United and it hasn't been a problem, but it could be a concern if airlines get even more strict about size, as this is bag is already the max allowable size for a domestic carry-on. The price of the bag ($246 when I bought it; sometimes cheaper now) is reasonable for the high quality. This is the top-rated bag on The Wirecutter, a terrific review site owned by the NY Times that does thorough testing and detailed reviews of all sorts of products.
