I stayed up to the late hours because you just didn't want to put the book down. I cried, laughed and to be honest was so glad to see Church's soft side. You find out so much information that you actually wonder if some of the things written COULD actually be true. Maberry's way of writing is so intense that I found myself believing in the possibilities. Could there be "vampires" of sorts? Is the Inquisition still going on? Is our hatred towards others controlled? This book kept me up until 4am because I had to finish it that night. It was too exciting for me to put down. The pain Joe and Ghost goes through is so intense I cried. Even Joe's other "personalities" had a problem dealing with what was going on. The last word of the book made me smile brightly because I know the next book is going to make me going through this roller coaster of emotions. However, I'm giving myself a few days to "recover" because I know I won't want to stop reading. This is one of the authors that will always keep me wanting to read more and more.
