I’m struggling writing this review, not because I didn’t like the book, but because it’s the last in the series and I do not want to say goodbye. I’ve read the River in Time series since book 1, Waterfalls, was released. Lisa wrote such a vivid world with such captivating friends I felt like I was there with Gabby and Lia, and that they were these real breathing beings. They’ve become such good friends and it is very sad to say goodbye.
Deluge does give you closure, I appreciate that Lisa does that. So many people end series in a way that you feel like it could go on, or they seem to rush through it like they’re tired of writing and they just need it to end. Lisa has done a lovely job at bringing her series to a close. It’s not without a little heartache, so keep tissues nearby, but enjoy.
