My girls are 6 and 4 - they love the Bear books. I keep a small collection of books for each holiday and we added this one to the collection for Thanksgiving. It doesn't go into any details about why we celebrate thanksgiving, but I feel like there aren't too many books that go into WHY, it's more a story of celebrating.
