Customer Review

If these are the "best" short stories which Anthony Doerr could cull from U.S. and Canadian print magazines, we are in trouble. Either Doerr has very bad taste in literature, or the level of writing in print is jejune, boring, and childish. Story after story disappointed me. One or two were readable, but the book is not worth buying. I am a writer, and would be embarrassed to have written such rubbish.
