Customer Review

The beginning is a bit confusing with so many characters throw out at once. Half the time I have no idea who is speaking or who is who. I have no clue as to why Derek has issues with Karina. At first, I thought she was the ex wife he was referring to, then he spit out another name for his wife. It would be nice to understand his issues with Karina so I knew why this assignment would be challenging for him. Then I realized this book falls far into a series. So that explained why I had no idea who was who. But it was ok as a stand alone.

This dialogue reads like bad porn. Like the author is saying anything to make it work into the storyline and it is awkward. Also, the spanking in the office? They weren't in a D/s relationship yet so what makes him think he can spank her then. Again, this part seems forced, like making the scene fit where it doesn't belong. I am struggling to continue this book.

I think the plot of the book was good but it didn't have a great reading flow.
