Customer Review

This movie is a real downer, which is not what is expected. It opens with photographs of what appears to be a happy couple. As the title indicates, they break up and proceed to do things to hurt each other -- not the kind of too dark to be believed and, therefore, funny things as in _The War of the Roses_, but the kind of senseless garbage people actually do to each other. Yes, it's realistic. That's what makes it such a downer. Previews make it appear as if there is a conflict about who gets the condo, but there isn't. It's a tragic film that isn't played with a sense of tragedy or even sadness, and I expected a romantic comedy. This is NOT a comedy. It left me with the same feeling I would have had if _Friends_ had ended with Rachel actually going to Paris -- disappointed and hopeless.
