There are certain things in life you need to experience to really understand it. Like the grief you feel when you lose a loved one. It's unavoidable and nothing can help eliminate the pain. What makes it even worse is at those lowest moments you're forced to make complicated and expensive decisions -- or have to become Nancy Drew to piece a person's life together -- when all you want to do is hide under a blanket and get to the other side where you feel almost normal again. This book allows you to do just that and it covers EVERYTHING. It is a masterclass in preparation, and done in a way that makes it feel doable. It doesn't get bogged down in legal-speak, explains exactly what you need to do and why you need to it, and empowers you to get it done. I also appreciated the tone and humor, which made it feel like a close knowledgable friend was guiding me along. If you're an adult and have anyone or thing (like a pet or a charity) relying on you, this is required reading.
