These Pull-Ups Learning Designs Potty Training Pants for Boys are nice to have as we transition to underwear during potty training. The characters are supposed to fade when wet but if the child has pants on over the Pull Up, they aren't going to notice this feature, or if they do notice, the Pull Up is already wet so I'm not sure how effective that really is. I do think these Pull Ups run smaller than other brands and are not quite as soft, stretchy, or absorbent. I do like that the sides can be opened easily/refastened instead of having to rip them like other brands. There is a lot of debate as to whether training pants help or hinder potty training but my ASD son has outgrown traditional diapers and is not close to being potty trained so we need to use training pants. He is able to pull them off and on which I suppose will get him used to wearing underwear but they are very diaper-like so I'm not sure how much they will help as we continue potty training. These training pants are working well for our needs but I wish they were a bit more absorbent though I know feeling wet is needed for being trained.
