I’m not quite sure what to make of this book. So much of it was painful to read as Valera and Erolas were apart for most of the book. And when we did get a glimpse of him it was painful. I found myself sometimes avoiding the book because it was so hard to see and think about what was happing and sometimes rapidly skimming through Valera’s quest to find him. I just needed him saved. Now.
So that was all hard and not so enjoyable. This book had some darker parts to it than others by the author. But the ending made it all worth it. I just love the two MCs. I would have liked an epilogue that explained things with the breaking of the curse better and to see Erolas and Valera together afterwards more. I’m glad Brielle’s book is coming soon because I definitely need to know what happened to her.
So, a good read. 4.5 stars for keeping Erolas and Valera apart for most of the book and then not giving me quite enough of them at the end. But, it was all definitely worth it. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by this author.
