Two things I liked about this book:

1. The wondrous story of Jeff’s lab and the work they have done all these years — and, of course, the apotheosis of that thinking, the Thousand Brain Theory (TBT);

2. Perhaps even more significant, reading and digging into Jeff’s work has given me the vocabulary to explore this topic on my own. Jeff’s book literally opened up the kingdom to me. Building on the book, I am discovering an immense new world I knew existed but which seemed so complicated to understand. Like Jeff says, neuroscience is often characterized by a wealth of empirical data but few synthetic frameworks in which to understand them as a whole. This book is an attempt at a synoptic theory of how the TBT works.

Very enlightening; highly recommended!
