I had hoped the flat blue picture of this volume on the Amazon website was an error and it was really part of the Overlook Press set of Wodehouse books. I'm collecting those. But the publisher is otherwise and the picture is faithful to the monochrome cloth cover. The volume has no dust jacket. It's an okay book, but I gave my copy away and will replace it with the Overlook edition when it's available.

Naturally, the story is good (see the dramatization on disc 2 of the first season of the Fry/Laurie "Jeeves & Wooster" series). Bertie is a bit out of sorts in it -- a little envious of the attention Jeeves gets for his schemes -- and to me doesn't come off as the lovable idiot he is in a lot of the other stories. An idiot, still, but with an unfamiliar edge. If you're just looking for another Jeeves story to read and haven't read "The Code of the Woosters," I'd recommend that one over this. That story is also on a disc from the first season of the TV series.
