This long and detailed book gives us a history of the rise of Al-Quaeda and Osama Bin Laden. We see how Islamic fundamentalist supported global jihad against the West. The book outlines the development of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on th September 11, 2001. The infamous attack led to the United States war against terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. We follow Osama Bin Laden, the wealthy Saudi contractor who became a Muslim fundamentalist and terrorist to his death by United States forces in May 2011.murdered to his death in his Pakistani hideout in 2011 by American military. He was found and killed in his hideaway in Pakistan where he had found safe haven. The book is instructive for those wishing to know more about the history and politics of such Middle Eastern countries as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Pakistan. Afghanistan and others in the Gulf Region . Wright is good at examining the background of several key plays in the rise of the terrorists in addition to his excellent profile of Bin Laden. We in the United States need to know this information as we deal with terroristic threats andseek to protect freedom and democracy. An excellent book well worthy of your time and money.
