This is a solid 4 star book. It is better than just okay. It was enjoyable. I like many characters in the book. I like Erik and Ben both individually and as a couple. I like the art and collectibles angle. I don't have money for real museum quality art. Mostly I buy prints but I do buy original art from artists who have only a local reputation and crafts from local artisans. if I can afford it. (I do have a china tea cup and saucer collection. I love old hand painted china.) Another element in the plot is that both Erik and Ben are changing careers and just moved to Cape May, New Jersey. Both had bad experiences in their previous jobs and with their previous lovers. So they are both emotionally wounded career wise and romantically. They also both have some psychic ability, Erik moreso than Ben.

Any how, if you are not into art or antiques, you might be bored with this novel because they play a huge part in the plot. If you are into them and M/M romance, with some paranormal/psychic twists, then you will probably enjoy this book too. I am hoping it is the start of a new series featuring the adventures of Erik and Ben.

This author is fairly new. The author's backlist is not very long. I noticed some minor editing errors, but I actually notice editing errors in the majority of books I read, especially in genre fiction published by even the biggest most famous US publishing imprints. There are always no editing errors in big publishing house non-fiction and top selling literary fiction. I mention this because the author might want to ask their editor to try just a little harder while reading and correcting the manuscript. (No stars removed for the small errors.)

HEA romance, explicit sex, paranormal and psychic elements, leisurely pace plot
