I think it is a cute book. It does teach lessons of what it is like to go into a new grade. Especially in the beginning of the school year when students can be a bit confused of how to fit in now that they have reached a new grade. Definitely a bit out dated on some of the technology "cassettes", and could use a girls perspective too!
