This story really grabs your heart. I love the service puppy premise. Lila is so convinced that she is not good with people, especially kids. Emily is just a doll, and her dad Ford is wonderful. I loved seeing all the interpersonal action. This is a totally character driven story, with characters that are vibrant and endearing. The pace is leisurely with a more uncertain tone. The character development is what makes this story shine. Jeeves is a super part of the story, with his cute looks and how seriously he takes his job. If you like contemporary romances with lots of dogs, complex and and some steamy scenes, then this is for you! Read book 1 and then this one. Enjoy!
