I live in NYC and ride the subway. I have always had to crank up the volume when trains would enter the station, to a point that my device warned me listening at high volume for an extended period could damage my hearing. The other day it occurred to me that I could get bluetooth headphones. Based on reviews, I tried these. Well, they are snug and can pull your hair if you're not careful when you remove them, but wow, they have already made a huge difference. I can listen to music and audiobooks with ease. Do I look like a tiny a person with big headphones on my head? Yes. Do I care? No. Unexpectedly I got a call (at home, haven't tried it while I'm out) and tried talking to the caller with an invisible microphone. Guess what? I sounded clear as a bell to them. They sounded fine to me. Bonafide bonus. Then, in my slow brain, it took me a couple days to realize I could watch TV with these. My TV has built in bluetooth capability. I haven't been able to listen to a show, at a level that works for my (probably damaged due to years and years of concerts mostly without hearing protection) ears, in I don't know how long. I'd taken to not being able to multitask so I could read what was happening in the show/movie. Now, I can put these puppies on and HEAR my TV. Don't hesitate if you're thinking of buying these. I can't promise you won't, but I don't think you'll regret it. Happy listening, world! There is a better way!
