Interesting to compare it to the world now, as so many attitudes have changed. Also a good reminder of the strides we still need to protect.
One thing I will say though is that Tom Hanks' character, for all the trouble I'm sure Tom took, was the healthiest-looking AIDS patient I've ever seen, and the circumstances under which he suffered were a lot better/romantic than many in those days. A bit unrealistic maybe. But still an important film, especially for its time.
