I’ve had this book for a week and can’t put it down. I’ve been eating Keto for about 14 days and am already down 8 pounds! I wish I had this book two weeks ago instead of “winging” it on my own when I started. The author Suzanne is very real and relatable and I just love her YT videos documenting her Keto journey, in which she lost over 100 lbs in a year. As for me, I am someone struggling with tough “over 40” woman hormones that make it almost impossible for me to lose weight. I can’t tell you what a game change this Keto lifestyle is so far, in just the short time I have been following it. I think I have finally found a way to lose these last stubborn 20 lbs I have been carrying around since the birth of my 5 year old twins!! I also am a stage three colon cancer survivor for almost two years, and I narrowly escaped having a colonoscopy bag. I had had MAJOR digestive issues since my cancer removal surgery, and this diet has drastically calmed down my crazed digestive issues. Seriously. It’s amazing. I’m a lot less bloated and lethargic, and don’t have any ab cramping, etc., associated with awful digestive issues that someone with my health history can experience after colon cancer. ( of course, I’m not a doctor, just someone relating my own experience...but if you’re like me, just thought my experience may help you.) In the past five years I’ve tried so many diets ...diets that let me frustrated, not only with intense cravings that left me feeling deprived, but also major digestive problems. This diet along with a high quality probiotic has been a major god send. ( And I’m always full and happy! ) I love the way the book is arranged, it’s simple and beautiful, and gives you confidence to dive in right away...even while still reading it, even with Keto friendly foods that you may have in your fridge right now! Suzanne has a nice style, cheering you on without being annoying as she shared her story, and letting you know, hey, this sustainable...this is doable...just do it, and you’ll see. I also like how she lets you know you can do this diet with just whole, simple foods, no bells and whistles, and you don’t have to spend any money on the masses of “Keto Friendly” products flooding the shelves right now, looking to make a buck off of this Keto craze. I like that. I will def come back for an update. I’m so excited and motivated to keep going, and I hope this review has helped even one person decide to try this way of eating.
