I don't know if Jerry ever read them, but I've left pretty tough reviews of his books since the first- the stories are amazing, but his dialogue was... embarrassing. It didn't seem to improve for a long time...
Finally, he got it sorted! Dialogue is relaxed and natural, for the most part. Much more enjoyable to read, without all of the cringing.
I have to leave one criticism, or I'd feel like I was cheating him .
I'm not sure using "Boss" as a title was a wise choice...it starts reading like a 1930s gangster movie script.
But that's minor and just my little opinion.
