Customer Review

There may be arguments against this movie; its pacing is not one of them.

The story is set on the eve of Christmas. Families are preparing to celebrate, widowed people are preparing to get together, and divorced people are willing to connect with a prostitute in order to find some connection to life outside their broken family. People all either wishing for a dream life or wishing their dream life could have continued.

It is set in Switzerland in which, as I learned while watching it, prostitution is legal. Be that as it may, not all private citizens believe that prostitutes deserve a right to private property or personal security. Certain others may not have that objection, but they don't want prostitutes in their lives or touching the lives of their loved ones.

If the movie deserves a low rating, it is because some key plot elements are absurd, but I felt like it was pretty well put together. Could this all happen in one day? Probably not. Could it happen over a number of days, perhaps within a week or month? Yes. All the specific events may happen a little differently in real life, and perhaps to a larger cast of characters, but I could see this all happening just as the movie presented as well.
