For the record I read one review of the entire series wherein the main criticism of the series is that there never was a king of Scotland named William. True - unless you refer to the time period that the series is set in where King William and Queen Mary and then King William after Mary's death rules England and Scotland. The Scottish people were rebelling periodically during this time in the Jacobite rebellions to put a Scottish king on the throne...that did not come to pass. What I don't understand is how Amazon could use one low rating based on a misunderstanding of the political time frame of the story reflect on the lack of historical knowledge of the author. The author is a very good writer of romance set in the late 1600's ; she used the time period as a backdrop. And in her naming King William she is accurate. it would be nice if Amazon gave her credit.
