This book surprised me in the best way. I had never read a Susan Mallery book before, but the premise of this story lured me in easily. Margot and Sunshine are an unlikely pair, but definitely easy to love, and definitely easily relatable.

Margot, the classic beauty and etiquette coach, meets a client who tests her, but opens her up to new possibilities and challenges everything she knows and understands. Even more than that, she meets her client's son, and finds herself more than intrigued. For every bit as formal as Margot is, Alec seems to be that much stodgier, but they're a beautiful and fun match, and watching them grow both individually and together was heartwarming.

Sunshine, the opposite of her twin sister Margot, is a college dropout looking to reinvent herself, and finds herself loving more than just the precious boy she's nannying. Declan makes it difficult for Sunshine to change her behavior, and the dance these two do over the duration of the story has you cheering for them, knowing that something could go wrong at the next turn of the page.

I loved these characters, I rooted for them all to do well, I was invested in the story, and more than that, the whole thing was REAL. It's hard to find a story this realistic in this genre, so reading this tale by Mallery was incredibly refreshing. The only thing that shaved off a star for me was the end hit a little abruptly. As much as I wanted to know what happened, I didn't want everything solved in a matter of two pages, so it ruined the pace a bit for me. Aside from that one hiccup, the book had me laughing, crying, and grinning from ear to ear on more than one occasion. This may have been my first Susan Mallery book, but it definitely won't be my last.
