So my intention was to space out the last 3 books so when I finished book 6 it would be close to when book 7 was coming out. Yeah that didn’t happen. lol. I devoured these last 3 books. So now I have the long wait until book 7 comes out next year :(
I loved all the books in their series. And this one did not disappoint.
In this book there are 2 different cases being worked on.
Faz and Del are working the drive by shooting of a woman that was an activist in her neighborhood. Trying to get the drugs off the street. This one was the more edge of my seat case. There is also a new detective working with the violent crimes A group. And I really had misgivings about her. As did Tracy, who thought she was being brought in to replace her when she went on Maternity leave. Aside from working their case, Faz has some family issues going on. His wife has found out she has Brest cancer. So aside from working the case he is also dealing with that. I think the author did a great job with that story line.
The other case is a missing person that a friend of Tracy’s calls her in on. Tracy and Kins both work this case. A young Indian woman has gone missing. She was young pretty and smart (she was planning on going to medical school) She went out in a date one night and had not been seen since. Once her Body is discovered Tracy and Kins have to race to figure out what happened before they lose jurisdiction over the case.
I did not have either of these figured out. I really like not knowing and working the case and with the detectives.
And I loved the Epilogue. I cannot wait for book 7
