I am satisfied with the purchase I made for this book. None of the stories are as good as Up on The Roof, my favorite from the first anthology, but more of them are fun to read. Return to Mayberry is my favorite, for the setting, good action and characters and being a loose sequel to the most poorly resolved Black Tide Rising short story. Spectrum is a great story of someone who doesn’t quite realize that society has ended and is decently touching. The stories of the people in the tower, the Maine island, and the Ham radio operator are also quite good. Even the stories that I didn’t personally like were ones I had the feeling that many readers would think higher of.
