The plot line was such that I had to read it twice. Imagine, a plot from a comic book that has to be read twice to understand it. In fact, I thought something had happened earlier that I had missed. Except this volume collects issues 1-7 inclusive. I am glad that in this Justice League revamp that they have brought back the Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl while ridding themselves of the Cruz/Baz duo Green Lanterns and replacing them with John Stewart. One more thing, Superman apparently has decided to wear his underwear on the outside of his costume again. It sounds odd, but he looks normal that way. Also, Batman has seemed to develop a mild sense of humor while still maintaining his dark knight image. I gave this book three stars because graphic novels used to contain the entire series plot and this one ends with a "to be continued" line. (It doesn't say that verbatim, but it is clear that the reader is left hanging.) In fact, I used to abstain from buying individual comic books and wait for the all-encompassing graphic novel instead. But the publishers must have caught on to that as evidenced by this book.
