Customer Review

This was a wonderful read, I really enjoyed the parasitic codependency between X and Laura. It was interesting to see their toxic relationship bloom over the years. A sick bond bound by the blood of a dead boy.

I feel like Dear Laura is a good inditement for the crippling effect of survivors-remorse and it’s effects on the people that are left to carry on somehow without their loved ones. Truly gripping analysis of the breakdown of a humans spirit!

It’s sad how Laura has to carry the brunt of feeling like she could have done more as it slowly beats her down like an abusive parent.

In a sense, she died with Bobby that day, maybe not physically but in all the other important ways though.

All in all I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I more of an extreme horror/Splatterpunk fan but I saw enough “End Of The Year” lists with this on it and I can easily see why.

Highly recommended!
