Colin's got a big heart. Too big sometimes.
Colin lost his mother and sister.
Colin painted the soul of his brother's girl.
Colin gave yellow roses to his other brother's girl.
Colin uses big words like 'sanctimonious' and 'alluring'

Colin is the most well developed character in this series.
It feels like the other two books are just a prologue to Colin's story arc.
I think the author fell in love with him in the first book, just like I did.
And it felt so good watching him finally get someone who loved him for him, and a child. Perfect.

This book helped me realize my negative feelings about pregnancy and infertility have waned, and I can enjoy a story with a preggo in it.
In fact, I can feel it. I get it. I'm part of The Motherhood now.
Not to mention, I've always had a very very soft spot for adoption.

The whole series really.
Something about Elle Casey clicks with me, the humor, the emotion, not too much or too little.
