The third book in the series was a bit slow for me.
I feel like she could have left a good portion out, it was a bit repetitive. The end of the book definitely saved it, but I do feel that it was rushed... The book would have been great if the ending was more elaborate and took up most of the book rather than it being mostly filler.
Keiran and Cas' lines were nothing new, which was disappointing. They definitely could have used some fresh lines and material.
The journey to Iliseeum could have been more eventful and gaining the drakon could have been a little more exciting.
It did provide A LOT of information that is needed to understand the Blood and Ash world better and we find out what Poppy truly is, which is exciting! We also find out her heritage and secrets are revealed. The setup for the next book was amazing, there was definitely surprises at the end of the book that I didn't see coming.
Overall, it was worth the read, though it was slow for a good portion of it.
