I thought all of the stories in this book were good, but my favorite, the one that stood out the most, was The Radium Room by Tony Conaway. Jake Rosenthal, a tunnel expert for New York City uses homing rats to find a radioactive source that’s plaguing the city police. But what he finds is a personal journey into his own past that plagues him and forces a difficult decision.
Conaway, no stranger to the sci-fi genre , spins a tightly woven tale that’s half science fiction, half history and full entertainment. His stories are always engaging and this one pulled me along effortlessly with suspense and good writing.
