Not sure if it was just me, but this book's pace was off. Not sure if it was because of the whole holiday theme being released before the actual holidays, the timeline focus on Christmas that did not have Thanksgiving being mentioned, or I am not in the holiday spirit yet, but the story seemed either rushed or choppy. Not exactly something worthy of deducting part of a star in a rating, but somehow.... it did.
Otherwise, this book gives the reader all the humor, heat, and happily ever after of a Jill Shalvis novel. I love the character interaction and I absolutely LOVED Keane. Pita/Petunia the cat was a character... very cute! Interesting angle on the female lead being the one slow to catch on, though. Definitely will recommend this to read.
