Another superb book from Ms .Mallery. This time we find ourselves in the glorious wine country of Washington, with lots of details that pull you right in to the sense of place. and the soul of the wine industry.
The heroine, Mackenzie is and uber talented winemaker who still has much to learn about life and her own heart. Very relatable and you root for her right from the get go. Add in a deliciously selfish mother-in-law and a clueless soon-to-be-ex husband and the stage is set.
I particularly liked this book because the heroine pursuing her own dream is right up there with the romantic element. Makenzie discovers her own strength and as she does so opens up to the love that is right in front of her.
As always Mallery delivers honest female friendships. I particularly loved Four (yes that is what she calls herself) and her wise and flamboyant style.
Wine pairing with this book? Of course you should.....make mine bubbles.
