[EDIT: I've now read the next two books in this mini series and I can tell you these characters are so much fun! Really, pick this up and read it. It's good and the next two just get better! Angel wings? Flow armor? Wow!]
As an Aeon 14 fan I've been looking forward to this book for a while. This one is less about troops, battles, and starships and more about intrigue, romance, and trying to survive palace life. But it's still recognizably Aeon 14 in style. I found it a welcome change made entertaining by complex, well written characters.
