Customer Review

I don’t normally do reviews for books far into a series, or for an established author. I like to review debuts and new authors since I only intend to review books I consider five stars. Or maybe something comes along that blows me away (A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles). But I had to put my two cents in because I was surprised by the reason for negative reviews in a series I love. I guess some people don’t like books that have first person narratives. I do, a lot actually, and as I was reading the book I couldn’t understand why I was loving it so much. Then, of course,
the first person thoughts from a favorite character. It added so much to the story for me. The humor, the doubts and the humanity. Oh and the hope.
Don’t let the insertion of some first person narrative turn you away, this latest book in this must read series, is another must read.
