Hell's Phoenix is the second book in The Road to Hell series by Gracen Miller. Nix willingly went to Hell, thinking that he would be protecting Madison. When Micah tells him that she's dead, he is trapped in Hell with nothing to live for but revenge. He learns to use his newly awakened powers with help from Micah. He does unimaginable things, telling himself that he must do anything to avenge Mads' death.
While he is using a tsunami of his own creation to murder thousands, he is stopped by magical interference. Nix is stunned to feel Madison's energy in the opposing force. With a new belief that she lives, Nix and Micah make a plan to lure Mads out into the open. She opened Pandora's Box to try to save Nix from Hell and she lost control of the power, and they now plan to use that against her.
She plans to go into Hell to save Nix. She has some pretty powerful help, but everything relies on her. She is forced to leave Amos behind and she doesn't really believe she will return. Madison again shows that she is every bit as loyal as she is stubborn and that one never wants to cross this Queen. Micah gets more than he planned for and Mads surprises everyone (except Micah lol) when she takes full control of her inner demon, and its powers.
This was another amazing book by Gracen Miller! 5/5 stars! The descriptions of Hell will stay with me for years, haunting my dreams with stitched flesh floors and the screaming of the damned. The story evolves from Pandora's Box and the characters show a side that I didn't expect. I LOVED the scenes set in Hell. Gracen has a gift for description that made this book come alive for me. I didn't put this book down until I finished it. Not very often do I find myself this drawn into a series. I am very eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.
