It's incredible all the things you don't know about ADD and your own mind because most ADD knowledge is based on children (mostly white, mostly boys). What really struck me were the anecdotes from real adults with ADD—I couldn't believe there were so many people who experience the same strange behaviors and thoughts I do. Besides being validating, this book contains essential tips and tricks for working WITH your ADD brain (not against) that I haven't seen anywhere else—at least not written in such an easy-to-digest manner.
If you have ADD you may be wary of buying a book as it can be difficult to get through. Luckily the way this one is structured makes it easy to pick up or drop off whenever you want. Even if you only read the first few chapters it's still worth the price.
