If you have ever lived with indoor cats you will relate to this book. If you don't have experience living with cats, then I can see why some people found it boring - because they are missing the cat owner's sense of humor. If you can appreciate that any empty box is a "cat trap"... if you have a cat that can barely wait for you to open and remove contents of any Amazon box so that he/she can sit in it, you will likely enjoy this book.
