See this movie! It is THE best take on the classic Silas Marner story. Steve Martin is a gem. His relationship with the little girl is wonderful. The moral of the story comes through and the ending pulls everything together perfectly. Give this movie a chance. I even used it in an AP English Composition class I taught. I had the Video but I had to order the DVD copy for our home library to make sure I always had it available. You will love this story.
