First off this thing is a visual monstrosity. so if you don't have the ability to set it up in an attic, I don't recommend it otherwise. Luckily my home has a conduit, I can run a coaxial cable down to the basement where the rest of my coaxial signals branch out to.
However, if you can mount and run a convenient cable that distributes the signal, this antenna does the work. I experimented with some leaf antennas i used to use, and I can't get nowhere the signal quality or consistency as I do from this antenna. I pick up almost double channels, and specifically a certain network channel tends to be spotty in my area, but with this antenna it's crystal clear.
It's worth looking online to see which direction you should mount it, but as a whole, it's easy to assemble, a couple of lag bolts to mount and excellent picture quality.
