So a young kid sees his Dad and Step Mom get killed. He wants revenge. He travels. He meets a gun slinger who teaches him how to shoot. In one day. The book then goes on for about a million pages. The gun slinger kid who is about 18 kills a few people. Along the way he gets into lots of gun fights. Amazingly, he shoots and misses alot. Sometimes twice in a row. In the middle of a gun fight against 3 or 4 or more people. Sure he gets wounded. Which is good. The story is only in volume 2, chapter 8. There is like 4 or 5 volumes. Or there are 5 volumes. So many characters and deaths you can't keep up. I literally fast forwarded thru like 200 pages. Maybe 300 pages. I lost count. When I started reading again? The main character had been wounded again. Whether it was against American bad guys, Indians, was endless. Now, well written, but so stupid. At the end of the day? Give me something more besides....the end of the day never comes. It's an endless scene year after year. 3 stars because it is well written. 5 stars would be easy.........................if you took out like 500 pages.
