This is a replacement for one I had just like it for years. I loved my old one and will probably enjoy this one just the same. This one I thought was going to be exactly like the one I had before, which it is with a couple of exceptions. This one seems to be a little bigger, but that could just be because my other one was so used it seems smaller. I wasn't happy about Swiss Gear getting cheap (like everything else in the world) on some of the little things that I liked about my old bag. This new one does not have the chest strap, which was nice when traveling to help evenly distribute the weight on my back. It does not have the little hole for ear phones to go thru so your phone can be in your bag. It doesn't have as nice of inside pockets in the front compartment as my last one and the zipper handles aren't all the same on the new one. While the bag looks identical to my last one, the material used to make the new bag doesn't seem as good as the material used on my last one. All in all, I will give it a try and see how it holds up. I am giving 3 stars due to quality of the bag seemingly declined. While I could probably still use my old one for another year or more, it was starting show its age and some seams were starting to fray. I use the bag every day and carry quite the load (laptop, iPad, phones, cords, cables, first aid kit, files and other misc personal items. Last time I weighed it, I was carrying an average of 50 lbs on any given day and sometime more. Will be interested to see if the new bag can meet the challenge.
