Eggs stick to shell
Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2019
These eggs always (and I do mean ALWAYS) stick to the shell when hard boiling them. Attached pictures show 2 eggs, the one on the top is the 365 Everyday Value, Cage-Free Non-GMO Large Brown Grade A Egg, the smooth one on the bottom is a store-bought egg. They were boiled at the same time in the same pot.
This has happened every time we've tried to make hard boiled eggs with them. We've tried with at least 5 different orders of them. We thought it was something we were doing, boiling them too long, waiting too long after buying them, boiling them too soon after buying them, etc.
Finally we did a test to compare these against different ones bought at our local store. We used the same age eggs and boiled them under the exact same conditions - boiled in the same pot for the same length of time. The eggs from both were also the same age. One is the 365 Everyday Value, Cage-Free Non-GMO Large Brown Grade A Egg (top, messed up), and the other is from our local grocery store (bottom, smooth).
Obviously, the 365 Everyday Value, Cage-Free Non-GMO Large Brown Grade A Egg is completely a mess.
Also, these shells are incredibly hard. I don't mind a little bit of firmness, but these are ridiculous. The end result is, when you finally get it open, the raw egg is splattered a bit since you really have to bang it to crack it.
Done with these, never buying again.
