Walk a mile in CSI Tamara’s shoes.
Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2020
This book is a behind the scenes look at the crime scenes that were the most memorable to CSI Tamara Mickelson.
It would be too simplistic and show a complete lack of understanding to say this was her job and it is what she signed up for.
First, being a law enforcement officer is not a job-for the best of them, it is a calling.
Second, nobody comprehends the physical, mental and emotional impact this calling will take on these officers. They deal with the worst of humanity, people on their worst day and situations we can never imagine (and don’t want to imagine). Too many times we view these situations through a TV lens where the officers are left unscathed by the tasks-this is not reality.
Tamara takes us behind the scenes in a quest for understanding not a plea for sympathy.
In a time where LEOs are often viewed with suspicion, this gives the reader a chance to walk a mile in her shoes.
