Amazing as always! You have to read all the books from Finding Home through No Limits to throughly get a good feel for all the people throughout this book. We get to catch up on some of our favorite people that we’ve gotten to know through her books. We’ve met Chuck and Nora previously and it’s so great to be able to see how their lives are going. Nora was introduced in the Checkmate Series in Pawns as she had a tragedy strike her in the most painful way. Chuck was also introduced to us in the Checkmate series but he was kinda just there. They both make their way through the Stack Deck Series and now they have their own story. A story of patience, facing fears and sharing your burden. The gift at the end will have you crying the good tears. Emilia is a master story teller that draws you in during the first sentence of her books. It’s all the feels that she can weave through her stories that makes her books absolutely wonderful to read.
You make us all “fly” Emilia Finn!!! Another beautifully written story!! A tortured soul brought to life and taught to soar... Nora and Chuck... brave, challenging, strength, grieving death & survivor guilt... “it’s ok to live and the best way to honor those that didn’t” ❤️❤️ teaching us all it’s ok to step out of our comfort zone and fly... Breathtakingly beautiful, heartbreaking, and crazy funny all rolled into one... THANK YOU💕💕💕
Every time a book comes out for Stacked Deck I think, “wow I love all of them but they just took the cake and are my new favorite of the series.” I didn’t think that would happen after Bry and Maddi. Then, Chuck and Nora happened. I’m not one to give much away in reviews. So, I’ll leave it at this. This is probably my favorite couple right now, and that’s REALLY saying something because I love every single one of stacked deck so far. I will likely do an immediate reread because I’m just not ready to be done with Chuck and Nora, next gens, rollers and those sexy checkmates. I highly recommend this book. If you’re new, start at the beginning with the Rollers! You won’t be disappointed. This book was such a healing book for me, and they are some of my absolute favorites. Thank you for creating a world I can escape to.
This book was hilarious and heartwarming it was nice to see the checkmate crew again and I am soooooo in love with Tucker and Nora they are perfect!! She was a bit irritating sometimes but she pulls through! I am serious my husband and sons looked at me like I was crazy for laughing as hard and often while reading this book!! I love this series and all of the books Emilia has written for this amazing town and families!! I am really hoping that even though there are only 2 books left In the stacked deck series that she writes about ALL of the kids I love these books!! Can’t wait for the next one
Emilia Finn kills it again. If you have read all the series up to this point, and I highly recommend you do, then you like me have been waiting patiently for Nora's book. She was traumatized as a teenager and that left it's mark on her. She has a routine that she likes and she keeps to it, Nora is not a fan of change so when a noisy neighbor moves in across the hall and wrecks her quiet life she gets thrown for a loop. Chuck was a serial "dater" more of a love 'em and leave 'em type, but he can't get over his feels for Nora. This book is amamzing. It gave me all the feels, I laughed, I cried, I swooned, ooohed and ahhed.
I wrote to one of my book reading buddies by chapter 6 to tell her how much I was loving Chuck and Nora’s story. Then I texted her again on chapter 11 to tell her I was “swooning” and then I reread that chapter just because. After that, I couldn’t stop reading, through the swoons, the tears, the grins, more swoons, the sobs. Emilia Finn is the ONLY author that I’ve purchased every book she’s written and one of the few whose books I’ll buy immediately or pre-order. The world of the Rollers, Survivors, Checkmates, and Stacked Deck is as real as it gets! ❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️
I'm not much on writing long intricate reviews and this will be no different. I love this book. I love Tucker & Nora. If you haven't read the Checkmate Series, you really really should read it since it will help give you the back story on some of the characters, but also because they are all awesome. When you finish Checkmate, then move on to the Stacked Deck series. Everything Emilia Finn writes is worth the price of admission to be entertained and fall in love with her characters. You won't regret it.
Nora & Chuck have both dealt with tragedy in their lives and lost those closest to them. Both deal with the loss in different ways. Nora is closed off and terrified where Chuck is crude and living life. Can they come together and find the love they both deserve or will fear of the past cause them to lose happiness. Emilia Finn once again delves into the souls of her characters and allows us to be a part of their lives. The good, the bad, the ugly, we get to see it all. You’ll laugh, cry and cheer for Chuck and Nora. 💜
After Wildcard, I was pissed at Nora. Reshuffle kinda fixed it for me, but I was still kinda “meh” on her. I trust Emilia Finn though. If she said Nora got a book, who am I to say no?😂 And she was right. This was beautiful and heart wrenching and so funny I teamed up multiple times lol Nora has grown so much and I’m so proud of her. Tucker is amaaaaaazing 😍 I love that he doesn’t treat her like she’s fragile. He pushes and pushes because he sees the brave woman inside of her. I will forever read anything Emilia Finn writes. ❤️
This is the most emotional book in the Stacked Deck series so far. We learn more about one of our favorite mechanics, Chuck aka Tucker Morris and Nora, the scared and shy resident of RollerTown. Both have scars and traumas that they both live with separately, and we learn if opposites can truly attract. This book is some of Emilia’s best work yet because she doesn’t hold back anything, and we live the same traumas, emotions, and fears written on every page.
